Heavenly Events, LLC is a Godly based, growing company. The Event Planners ShawnTa’ Blaine and Allison Merritt met planning events for their church. They have been planning weddings, showers, birthday parties and other social events for a combined period of twenty three years. We are a member of the American Academy Of Wedding Professionals (AAWP).

Their goal is to ensure that the clients dreams come true. They work really close with each and every client to ensure that their wedding or social event is successfully planned and executed. Heavenly Events will custom tailor and coordinate your event to suit you and your dream. They will offer you unique ideas and recommend vendors that offer services that fits your needs as well as your style. Overall, their goal is to ensure you receive the best service possible.

Alison is the Vice President, she is known for her excellent organizational skills, her attention to detail and her passion to make the events a heavenly success. She has many years of experience in planning and designing the ceremony and receptions. She is able to successfully negotiate contracts and solve issues that may arise.

Alison takes pride in providing the clients with unique ideas and themes. She has a passion for encouraging strong marriages through a Christian based course. She attended of NC, A&T State University, Greensboro, NC.

ShawnTa’ is the President, she is known for her creative ideas, her decorating ability and her determination to successfully accomplish all goals set. She also has eight years of legal experience which can be utilized when assisting the client to negotiate contracts between the clients and vendors.

ShawnTa looks forward to seeing the bride and groom enjoying their wedding festivities. She takes pride in knowing that she had a  part to play in creating such a memorable occasion and leaving a heavenly impression upon the couple and their guest . She completed courses in wedding coordinating and planning at PG Community College and Howard Community College. She also attended University of Maryland University College, Adelphi, MD and University of the District of Columbia, Washington, DC.

Both Alison and ShawnTa have a passion for doing God’s work and a love for planning weddings and special events. Planning events has been an hobby and passion for many years. They look forward to meeting new clients and planning their next event.
